Professor Iyiola Tella – Director

An accomplished scholar and Professor of Ecosystem Management, Iyiola Tella has distinguished himself in the fields of biodiversity conservation and ethno-forestry, ecological modelling of plant site interactions, site productivity, implicating biomass and bio-energy yield in managed forests, sustenance of life and functions within endangered ecosystems and bioremediation.

Professor Tella holds a Masters (1994) and a Doctorate (2005) in Forest Resource Management after obtaining a first Degree in Forestry and Wood technology in 1991. In recognition of his excellence in his chosen field, he has been admitted to prominence in several Professional bodies including but not limited to the Forestry Association of Nigeria (FAN), the Forest & Forest Products Society (FFPS), the Science & Technology Africa – Europe Partnership (STA-EP), the Nigerian Environmental Study Team (NEST) and the Danish Development Research Network (DDRN). He has taught and worked in several countries including the Benin Republic, the Cameroons, Denmark, Kenya, Sweden, South Africa and Turkey.
